Message to X3 Moviegoers

Seeing The Last Stand this weekend? IGN has an important tip.

May 22, 2006 - You're planning to see X-Men: The Last Stand this weekend, right? We expect most of you are. That being the case, apart from our regular reporting on the movie, IGN FilmForce now asks you to do one important thing. If you're an X-Men fan, you'll regret it if you don't! At the theater this weekend, when the credits roll, when the audiences begins to filter out of the exits... keep your seat. And then, perhaps, share this little secret with a few of your friends: the movie isn't over.

We don't want to spoil anything for you, but we want you to know that the scene that follows isn't your typical post-credits tack-on. It's a coda for one of the main characters. The scene is maybe 30 seconds in length, but it's enough. And it will surely be one of the more talked moments in the fan community.

Think you know what this scene is? Guess all you want, but chances are that you won't see it coming.

Major mutant war happens this Friday! Wolverine yells, "Hold the line!" - that stand's not easy. All you have to do is hold on through the end credits - that's much easier. You don't want miss the coda!

So, those of you who's gonna watch after this, please do yourself this favour so that you won't curse like me... and since I missed that part, I found out what I missed, here, the spoiler.

Waterlily Cafe @ Puchong

A couple of weeks ago, ka..t casually asked if I had been to this place called WaterLily Cafe, somewhere opposite IOI Mall. It seems someone told her that the BBQ is good. So, two Sundays ago, I made a trip there, just to try their BBQ.

It's nothing that great but suffice to say, it's tasty. But what I don't like is the burnt bits here and there. When I was busy snap-snapping, one of the waiters came to tell me that I'm not supposed to take pictures there. I was thinking, "So, what do u wanna do? Take my camera and delete the pics??" The first waiter came to me when I was taking the picture of the drink & soup. Then, a second waiter came when I was taking the food pics. This time I told him, "But I'm taking pictures of MY FOOD!" He answered, "Sorry, you can't take pictures here." Again I insisted that I was taking pics of MY FOOD. But he repeated what he said earlier. Duh... I just gave up and start eating.

So there you go, ka..t! Mission accomplished! Oh yeah, the price of the set was about RM25++. Someone mentioned that they actually have another branch @ Bandar Putri called Bumbu Bali. Aiyah! I went there before! Twice or thrice summore! No wonder la the BBQ tasted familiar! LOL!

(Some-Not-So) Fun-tastic Weekend Pt 3

Yes, this last part has got some not-so fun part...

You see, after the tea ceremony @ USJ, the Parents, the Uncle & the Cousin went home to pack our bags for the trip to Genting Highlands. We were in two cars, mine & the Cousin's. When we reach my place, we found that the Cousin's car's aircond went kaput. The Uncle who's so tak sabar (transration = impatient) to go to Genting, asked the Cousin to fix his car next weekend. WTF?! Yalah, you say like this because YOU are not the one who's gonna drive the blardy car!

On the other hand, I do understand where the Uncle is coming from... This bachelor who's already in his 50's had spent close to two decades of his life at home, looking after the Parents, ie. my Grannies. This man has been cooped up at home most of the time and now that he's out for a short break, of course to him, time is precious.

So anyway, I told the Cousin to get his car checked at some nearby shops that are still opened on late Saturday afternoon. After checking out a few places, he found the shop which gave him the best bargain but he had to wait for the guy to get some 'stocks' to replace the faulty 'pipe'.

After packing our bags, we went to meet up with the Cousin at the mechanic's. Twas already 5 plus...

*waiting waiting waiting*

Still no sign of the man who's supposed to bring the 'stock'.

While waiting, the Papa looked at his own car... check here, check there...

OMG! What did he see on the tyre???

See the two 'slashes'? The 'bone' of the tyre!

Papa said, "It's still okay. I'll get it changed when I go back home."
"What?! No way! Home is like more than 300km away! Change it now!"
"No, no, it's still alright."
"NO! Faster change NOW!"

So, he ain't got no choice but to change it at angel's insistence. We changed 2 tyres to make it seimbang. (transration = balanced) Why do we have to pay 3% extra when we charge to credit cards?? Really blood suckers, man... So, pay cash la...

Anyway, after waiting for more than 2 hours, the man finally arrived with the 'stock'. Got the Cousin's car settled and left the place slightly a quarter past seven.

We were then off to Genting...

I so regret that I didn't take any pics of the WorldClub Room which costs RM370 per night during peak periods! But it's a nice looking room with quite a bit of space for 5 people. Then it was dinner at Hainan Kitchen Restaurant. Eat what? Eat chicken-lice la! (SA, not really lice yeah! LOL! But that's how some Chinese pronounce 'rice') A plate of roasted/steamed chicken rice was RM9.30++. Yup, that's the price you've gotta pay when you are up there...

After dinner, it was strolling time. Of course the Uncle went to pay a visit to Uncle Lim (transration = casino that belongs to a Mr. Lim Goh Tong... LOL!). Yours truly & the Parents walked around the place, enjoying the cool weather... ahhh, such bliss... and of course, lotsa snap-snaps too!

And that concludes the Hip.Hop.Happening.Weekend which ended with me, bitten by the Lethargy Bug! Come to think of it, I didn't do that much of work during the weekend but I was really down & out yesterday. But yup, I'm now up and about... Thank God!

And that was the wedding so-called ceremony... The Sister teared a bit during the ceremony though. I donno why and when I asked her why, she also said she didn't know why. Married ladies, why huh?

but can't post it up now 'cos the phone is now "sucking juice"...

I was very surprised that when I went into the Plenary Hall @ KL Convention Centre, the hall was less than a quarter full! Probably because it's a Friday afternoon... but still, I didn't expect it to be so empty! And the funny thing was, you know where I sat? Second row from the stage! LOL! Waaa... so near! I didn't know that I'd be sitting so near because when I asked the Friend to get the tix, I didn't know how the seats' layout was but I said that I wanted the middle area.

I had fun watching Grease because the songs are great! Classic! Oh, and Jamey Issenor (Danny Zuko) is soooooooo hawt! Muscular, cute, even with his karipap hair stylo!! LOL! To know how a karipap looks like, check it out here. :P

But, I didn't think so much of Hanna-Liina Vosa (Sandy) because when she was crooning Hopelessly Devoted To You, there were times where her voice was kinda drowned in the music. But maybe, just MAYBE, it could be because I was sitting so near to the stage? *shrug*

Oh, and there were lotsa smooches in some scenes... and I mean real S.M.O.O.C.H.E.S. The thing is, those lips locked at a corner during some singing scenes (not too far from the 'singer'), so, maybe most people didn't notice the couple. But ho-ho, I sure DID notice those yummylusty kisses!! LOL!

So, yeah, I enjoyed Grease! My only complaint was the duration - not enough, too short. Oh, and the venue @ KLCC is much betta than Istana Budaya! (Huh? World class theatre? Well, a few years ago, I thought so, but now..... well, still okay, I suppose. But they need to try to keep the place 'new'...) I have a couple of pictures of the KLCC's theatre which I wanted to share with you but they are in the phone... later yeah!

I probably won't do a DaVinci write-up cos Maydonna said she'll do it, rite rite?? :P But, I enjoyed the movie. Yes, 2.5 hours but never a dull moment... Some thinking is needed...

Grease was cool too although I didn't expect it to be only a 2-hour show...
