MamaMia!

Okay, so it's Mother's Day and everyone's writing about Mom...

Okay, the Mama... the Ma still looks good though she's already 60+. When people say that she still looks young, she very happy... who wouldn't, yeah?

So, yeah, the Mama... like all mothers in the world, she mothers me, at times, just like everyone else, their mother-ness gets on our nerves. But that doesn't make us love 'em less, yeah! I also know that the Mama is very worried about the angel... because you know la, how KL city is, rob here, rob there, kidnap here & there, murdered @ home etc... So, the Mama is worried about her angel, especially on weekends when the angel goes out on her own or with friends. At some point, she became paranoid especially when she read all the so-happening (not!) news in Puchong.

The angel can only assure her that she'll be careful and all. What else could she do, right?

The Mama is like all mothers, she's a great cook. And also a great cleaner! My god, she really can clean! Oh oh, and she's also a tailor! She used to make clothes for us when we were kids. And a must for every CNY is a pair of new PJs, the baju & seluar type for yours truly, whereas the Sister gets a maxi...LOL! Every year, either she will buy the material for us or she'll bring us along to choose the material. Of course, we'll always choose the cartoon ones! So fun!

And I remember, when I was in kindy, the Mama actually babysat me for the whole year! Yeah! One whole year, accompanying her angel outside the classroom. Scaredy cat this angel... The moment I turned and didn't see Mama, guess what happened next? Bawlssssssss...

During kindy days, the Mama fetched me on Papa's bicycle like this one...

The Papa's bicycle that Mama rides!

Everyday, we'll pass by this one sundry shop which is just one shop on its own. And every other day, the Mama will stop at this shop to let her angel pick a sticker to call her own. Those were the days where she very much look forward to! Oh how the angel skipped into the shop on those days...

Of course last time the stickers not like this wan la...

So yeah... those were a few stories about the Mama...

LoviesHuggiesKissies to Mama!

Oh, earlier today, I ripped this picture from some Filipino blog... LOL!

*Currently on air - A Song for Mama, Boyz II Men*

You taught me everything
And everything you’ve given me
I always keep it inside
You’re the driving force in my life, yeah
There isn’t anything
Or anyone I can be
And it just wouldn’t feel right
If I didn’t have you by my side
You were there for me to love and care for me
When skies were grey
Whenever I was down
You were always there to comfort me
And no one else can be what you have been to me
You’ll always be you always will be the girl
In my life for all times

Chorus:
Mama, mama you know I love you
Oh you know I love you
Mama, mama you’re the queen of my heart
Your love is like
Tears from the stars
Mama, I just want you to know
Lovin’ you is like food to my soul
You’re always down for me
Have always been around for me even when I was bad
You showed me right from my wrong
Yes you did
And you took up for me
When everyone was downin’ me
You always did understand
You gave me strength to go on
There was so many times
Looking back when I was so afraid
And then you come to me
And say to me I can face anything
And no one else can do
What you have done for me
You’ll always be
You will always be the girl in my life
Chorus

Do-You-Know that I'm actually Daddy's Girl?

I was such a sticker freak last time. Up to a point where I'd buy a few copies for trading purposes with my cousins!! Til today, my cupboard (in my dad's hse) is still plastered with my stickers (and now I can't scold my girl for sticking stickers everywhere because I did the same last time!! :P). One day, I'll snap a photo of my sticker-laden cupboard and blog about it! I much prefer stickers of yore...looks a lot cuter. Nowadays so boring the selection..if not Mickey Mouse, it's Winnie the Pooh or Hello Kitty or Barbie.

I was quite independent when I was small (not by choice!!). I took the school bus to kindy (mayx2 - did Methodist have its own bus?) and later to primary school (in fact for my entire school life, I took either the bus or taxi). I still remember the conversation I had with my father when I was in Std 1 and just missed my bus..'You cannot depend on me all the time, you must be able to take care of yourself,'...imagine that! Expecting a std 1 kid to understand that!! But it stayed with me..for over 30 years!

You've must've been the tomboy and your sister the lady!! Shorts for you and maxi for her!! LOL

Both my mother and MIL can really clean too! I wish I inherited my mum's touch..she does the best bed ever! (like the beds on display in dept store!!)

You know, I was just having the same thoughts as your mama (whatodo...all mothers think alike!!)..about your safety and all in the big bad city. So many cases of robbery, rape and murder (that's why jomel's story was so terrifying)..maybe you should take self-defence classes to allay your mama's fears..

Solly to unload here *helps to clean up crap*..squatter privileges!! *grins

Happy Mother's Day to your Mama, Angel babes! I loved stickers too, but didn't have much when I was young. I still have a book full of odds and ends from various sticker packs... ;)

ka..t - Methodist kindy had a few busses that were numbered so we'd recognise which bus to board, that much I remembered. not sure if they were solely for Methodist kindy kids, though...
